Frequently Asked Questions

  • Paylio is free to download and offers a free plan. We do charge a small percentage fee (2.25%, or a minimum of £60) on every job. This covers our costs and maintains the platform. The cost is split between you and the homeowner to reflect the mutual protection from using Paylio.

    Businesses do have the option to upgrade to one of our paid plans, more details will be released with the App.

  • We're currently in development and plan to launch in 2026. Join our waitlist to be notified as soon as we go live on iOS and Android.

  • When you accept a job, the agreed payment or stage payments are held securely. The funds are only released to you when the homeowner approves the completed work.

    This protects both parties by knowing the money is available and will only be released on satisfactory completion of the job or service.

  • Yes, Paylio connects to Sage, Xero and Quickbooks so you can can produce invoices which can be instantly imported into those systems and marked as paid - no having extra paperwork! Alternatively, you can download the invoice from the invoice centre for recording should you want to.
